Fun Facts: Argus's first event was in March, 2006. One jump and he was hooked! There is not much more exciting for him than DockDogs. Argus will turn 14 years old in May. He has jumped over one quarter of a mile with me as his Team handler. He jumped in the Veteran Class at the 2010 Nationals. In the past two years he has continued his jumping mostly with Emily as handler with his last jump in October, 2010. Whether or not he will be able to participate in a pond event in 2011 remains to be seen. For sure his heart will want to do so.

Personal Best and Awards: Mac's personal best air was achieved on Memorial Day weekend at the Three Rivers Event being held at the Wisp Resort in McHenry, MD. Mac's jump was 25'10" which was also the longest jump of the event for the weekend. This earned Mac the "Team Country" trophy presented by Kevin Meese. "Team Somerset Marsh Jumpers" has two new youth handlers, Colleen & Neall Kemp. So far, this brother & sister duo have both received Top Youth Handler awards from events that they have participated in this year. In fact, Colleen has even knocked her dad out of a competition in April of 2011 in Adamstown, MD. Colleen went own to place 2nd in the Elite finals with a jump of 23'08". This was Colleen's first competition. Mac continues to impress me with his love of the competition and wanting to do his best and still have fun.
